Business Description

The position is located in the Property Management unit, which is one of the units within the Property and Service Department of the Community Building and Technical Administration. The Property and Service Department is responsible for the municipality's properties, cleaning services, housing adaptations, carpool, and public transport.

Job Responsibilities

As the unit manager for Property Management, you will oversee your team consisting of operations managers and operation technicians. You are responsible for personnel, work environment, and financial management for the unit. The work includes collaborating with our administrators on maintenance planning, operational optimization, and being a requirements setter during procurements, etc. You will be responsible for ensuring that the technical operations of the property portfolio develop according to established goals and plans. The position includes analyzing, prioritizing, and coordinating operational work according to the established budget. You are responsible for streamlining and developing work methods, routines, and processes, as well as for regulatory requirements including self-control of properties. You will conduct direct procurements and call off framework agreements according to LOU. You will also lead smaller operational and maintenance projects.

Qualifications

You have a technical education or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent. Experience in a supervisory position is advantageous. It is important that you also have the ability and interest to manage finances. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and the ability to see the big picture, as well as ease in collaborating with other operations in the municipality. The position involves administrative work, so good computer skills are required. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Under the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is advantageous when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

We also require you to have a B driver's license.
